Ethical investment and superannuation provider Australian Ethical has announced two senior appointments to its adviser team on the back of growing demand for ethical investing.

In the newly created roles, Quyen Dam has been appointed to the position of manager of adviser relationships, while Joanne Robb has come on board as manager of partner relationships.

Dam brings more than 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry to Australian Ethical, having previously worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Westpac, BT, IOOF and most recently ING Bank.

She will be responsible for managing adviser relationships and growing Australian Ethical’s exposure in the ethical and mainstream adviser field.

Robb will be responsible for managing key relationships and fund coverage with platforms, dealer groups, researchers and asset consultants.

She has more than 15 years’ experience, with her most recent role being at Barclays Global Investors and as an account executive at IOOF.

Australian Ethical managing director Phil Vernon said the appointments reaffirmed the group’s commitment to advisers and reflected the growing demand from clients for investments that align with their values.

“We believe advisers will play a critical role in educating clients and bringing ethical investing into the mainstream,” Vernon said.

“Australian Ethical is experiencing strong growth in the adviser channel with representation on all major platforms, broad dealer group support and a strong pipeline of adviser inquiries.”

Dam and Robb will be part of the group’s client relationships team led by Leah Waldie, who joined the team earlier in the year.

“These appointments will continue to drive our current focus on ensuring advisers and their clients have access to a range of high-quality ethical options that deliver solid performance while supporting a sustainable future,” Waldie said.
