Independent licensee MyPlanner has partnered with wealth management platform PractiFI to take on the group’s technology as its core business management platform.

MyPlanner managing director Philippa Sheehan said the solution had already improved efficiencies across the group’s advice network by allowing financial planning businesses to automate their workflows and foster stronger relationships through a single view of clients.

Sheehan told financialobserver the group’s customisation of global client relationship management platform Salesforce had provided a better fit and more support than taking on Salesforce as a technology provider directly.

“We were attracted to the fact that we did not have to take the Salesforce journey on our own,” she said.

She added the platform provided advisers with the solution they needed to better service their clients and run their businesses.

PractiFI chief executive Glenn Elliott said PractiFI’s system had been built from scratch for the wealth industry, where there was a need for client-focused software that could also be used to run all aspects of a large wealth business.

MyPlanner was the firm’s first dealer group client, Elliott said.

He also noted many licensees were let down by over-customisation in the technology space and he believed PractiFI offered the right balance of functionality and configurability.

The company was eager to work with industry leaders who understood technological advancements in relation to the future of advice businesses, he said.
