Midwinter Financial Services has announced it will integrate with SuiteBox, which released its virtual advice offering last week, in order to provide advisers with an online meeting channel, improved client experience and efficiency of advice delivery.

The integration of the groups’ software is expected to offer efficiency for advisers that will allow them to initiate a SuiteBox meeting from within Midwinter’s advice modelling offering, AdviceOS, retrieve and save documents directly to and from the AdviceOS customer relationship management system, and save the video link to the meeting against the client file.

The first phase of the integration is due to go live in early December.

Midwinter managing director Julian Plummer said the group anticipated being first to market to offer the new capabilities within the Australian planning software space.

“We have had a number of advisers and AFSLs (Australian financial services licensees) request that we integrate with SuiteBox,” Plummer said.

“Advisers have inquired about the ability to carry out remote meetings for some time now and it’s pleasing to be able to provide our users with the technology to do so via SuiteBox.”

He said the ability to carry out virtual advice was something financial planners in regional areas had sought as they often found it difficult to have regular face-to-face meetings with clients.

Further benefits would accrue to phone-based advice teams as it would help them provide and implement advice in the same conversation, going from fact-find, modelling and plan production all the way through to authority and proceed, he said.

The integration would also allow advisers to share and review documents, sign online and record the meeting using any web-enabled device, he said.

Midwinter’s open application programming interface allowed seamless integration with other approved software providers, giving advisers the ability to plug various applications into AdviceOS with ease, he said.

“Midwinter is pleased to have been able to offer this feature to our users for quite some time now and to be growing the number of our integration partners,” he said.
